Department of Prosthodontics
The Department of Prosthodontics deals with compreshensive rehabilitation of missing dentition and surrounding structures to restore physical, functional, mental and aesthetic well being of patients.

The department focuses on educating and training students the principles of managing oral conditions through contemporary and advanced clinical techniques. The undergraduate prosthodontic training commences from the second year and spreads over three years. It consists of laboratory and clinical modules. The core competencies of Department are removable prosthodontics, fixed prosthodontics, implant dentistry, maxillofacial prosthodontics, digital dentistry, temporomandibular disorders and advanced aesthetic procedures.
Department of Prosthodontics manages Comprehensive Care Dentistry clinic as an innovative teaching and integrated learning facility for the graduates of Rahbar College of Dentistry, Lahore. This shall imrpove their skills of independent managment of general dentistry practice after graduation.
Faculty
Prof. Dr. Hina Zafar Raja
Prof Dr Hina Zafar Raja, BDS, FCPS, MSc (Hons.) FDS, ICMT RCPSG, PhD Scholar, is a distinguished prosthodontist with over 23 years of experience in clinical practice and academia. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from de’ Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore, and advanced her expertise with an F.C.P.S. in Prosthodontics from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, in 2007. Dr. Raja upgraded her education with an MSc (Hons.) in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics from King’s College London in 2020. Dr. Raja’s academic and professional qualifications are complemented by prestigious fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons Glasgow (FDS RCPSG, 2024). She also has an international certification in medical teaching from University of Liverpool, UK. She is a PhD scholar at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pakistan.

Asst Prof. Dr. Junaid Altaf
Dr. Junaid Altaf is an Assistant Professor at Rahbar College of Dentistry, where he actively contributes to both teaching and professional development in the field of dentistry. He has organized numerous significant events, including the 3rd Pakistan Prosthodontic Association Conference at NUST in 2014 and the Protaper Endodontic Workshop at the Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry (AFID) the same year.

Asst Prof. Dr. Fizza Tahir
Dr. Fizza, BDS, FCPS, Tahir is a highly skilled Prosthodontist with a robust academic background and extensive practical experience in the field. She completed her post-graduate residency in Prosthodontics and earned her Fellowship (F.C.P.S II) from the Institute of Dentistry, CMH Lahore Medical College. Dr. Tahir’s educational journey also includes a bachelor’s in dental surgery from the same institution, supplemented by her early training during a house job at the Institute of Dentistry.
