The Department of Oral Pathology at Rahbar College of Dentistry specializes in diagnosing and understanding diseases specific to the oral and maxillofacial regions.

Our curriculum provides in-depth training on various oral pathological conditions, including benign and malignant lesions, and systemic diseases with oral manifestations. Through a combination of lectures, practical labs, and clinical case studies, students gain expertise in identifying, diagnosing, and managing oral diseases. Our goal is to equip students with the skills needed to effectively handle complex oral pathology cases and integrate this knowledge into their clinical practice

Prof. Dr. M. Behzad Salahuddin
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Behzad Salahuddin, BDS, MSc OP, as the Head of the Oral Pathology Department and is an Associate Professor at Rahbar Dental College. With two decades of clinical experience and 15 years of teaching, he is dedicated to creating an engaging educational atmosphere for future dental professionals. He holds a Master of Science in Oral Pathology from the University of London (2010), a Certificate in Medical Teaching from a joint program by the University of Liverpool and the University of Health Sciences in Lahore (2016), and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore (2004).

Asst Prof. Dr. Mariyah Javed
Dr Mariyah Javed, BDS, Mphill OP, is an Assistant Professor at the Rahbar College of Dentistry, where she specializes in oral pathology and actively engages in both teaching and research. With extensive experience at Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Lahore, she has held positions as an M.Phil. trainee, instructor, and supervisor. Dr. Javed earned her M.Phil. in Oral Pathology from Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex in 2010 and completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Fatima Memorial College of Medicine and Dentistry in 2002. Recognized for her contributions to the field, she has received several national and international awards from ORIC. Her expertise encompasses clinical ethics and informed consent, along with a strong ability to diagnose and evaluate oral health problems. Additionally, she has demonstrated exceptional precision in surgical procedures and effective collaboration with colleagues.
